Hydro Seeding

Hydro seeding is a planting process in which grass seed, hydraulic mulch, fertilizer and a tackifier (bonding agent) is combined with water to create a “slurry”. The slurry is transported in a truck mounted tank to the job site and sprayed over prepared ground in a uniform layer.

Hydro Mulching

Hydraulic Mulching is a process in which hydraulic mulch and a tackifier (bonding agent) is combined with water to create a “slurry”. The slurry is transported in a truck mounted tank to the job site and sprayed over prepared ground in a uniform layer. Hydraulic mulch can be applied over seeded ground as a cover, or used by itself to temporarily stabilize an area.

Bonded Fiber Matrix

Bonded Fiber Matrix mulch is a unique class of hydro seeding erosion control product. BFM’s are designed, tested and proven to match or exceed the performance of erosion control blankets. A bonded fiber matrix is a continuous layer of elongated fiber strands held together by a water-resistant bonding agent. It eliminates direct rain drop impact on soil (it has no holes greater than one millimeter in size), it allows no gaps between the product and the soil and it has a high water-holding capacity. A bonded fiber matrix will not form a water-insensitive crust that can inhibit plant growth, and it will biodegrade completely into materials known beneficial to plant growth

Straw Tack (DOT Approved)

Straw Tack is a slurry made from post-consumer recycled paper, tackifier, and water. The slurry is then sprayed over vegetative mulch (straw, or hay) to glue the fibers together. This process is very effective, and is commonly used on state DOT projects.

Copolymer Soil Stabilization

This process is done by combining an eco-safe, biodegradable, liquid copolymer with water. It can then be sprayed on soil, or gravel roadways to provide erosion control and dust suppression. Application rates can be adjusted to provide control from several weeks to several years.

Site Watering

Watering of your newly seeded area using one of our 3,300 gal Hydro Seeding units. Typically done in non-irrigated areas, or when seeding is done during out of the seeding season in our dryer months.

Silt Fence

Our silt fence material is a heavy duty mono-tape. It is rugged and durable, but also porous to allow water to flow through and not pool behind it. This means longer life, and less maintenance required. 2x2” hardwood stakes are then attached using staples or zip ties.

Wire Back Silt Fence

Our wire back silt fence material is a heavy duty mono-tape. It is rugged and durable, but also porous to allow water to flow through and not pool behind it. This means longer life, and less maintenance required. Wire mesh reinforcement is added, and secured to 5’ steel t-posts using zip ties.

Straw Wattles

Mesh tubing filled with rice straw. Available in 9, 12, and 20” diameter. Can be used as perimeter control, slope protection, channel checks, or for inlet protection.

Excelsior Logs

Mesh tubing filled with excelsior wood fibers. Similar to straw wattles, but with greater filtration. Can be used as perimeter control, slope protection, channel checks, or for inlet protection.

Filter Sock

Mesh tubing filled with mulch chips. Similar to straw wattles, but with greater filtration. Can be used as perimeter control, slope protection, channel checks, or for inlet protection.

Triangular Silt Dike

Barrier consists of urethane foam and geotextile fabric. Designed with protective aprons on both sides of the barrier, there is only one sewn seam (on the front upstream side) which allows the barrier to be configured in several different applications.

Earth Berm

Berm built with existing soil. Usually used in conjunction with slope drains, sediment traps, or rock filter cut-outs.

Straw Matting

Straw sewn between netting to form a blanket that can be rolled out over seeded area and pinned in place. Our most economical blanket that works great on most slopes and channels that have low flow velocity. Available in single or double net.

Excelsior Wood Fiber Blanket

Excelsior wood fibers sewn between netting to form a blanket that can be rolled out over seeded area and pinned in place. This blanket is used mainly in ditches, swales, channels, stream banks, extreme slopes or other areas that have moderate to heavy flow velocities.

Jute Matting

Jute Matting is a natural product designed to offer short-term erosion control in low to moderate areas. These mats are constructed with a woven mesh design that provides a large open area for planting and establishing vegetation. This helps to facilitate growth and prevents further erosion from occurring in your area. Jute mesh is a completely biodegradable product that is constructed from spun jute yarns. Due to the nature of the materials used for the blanket, this matting is ideal for sensitive areas looking to control erosion or facilitate vegetative growth.

Turf Reinforced Mat (TRM)

Turf reinforcement mats (TRM) are a permanent blanket that enable vegetation to be used in areas where the forces exerted by water or wind exceed the shear limits of unreinforced vegetation. Typical applications include swales, storm flow zones of channels, ditches, stream banks, and extreme slopes.

Soil Filled Turf Reinforced Mat

Soil Filled Turf Reinforced Mat can be used wherever soil has to be protected against erosion or stabilized on steep impermeable slopes. With the three-dimensional structure permanently reinforcing and supporting root systems, the mat provides a stable, permanent vegetated surface. Made of monofilaments fused together where they cross to form a flexible three-dimensional open structure that leaves up to 95% of the volume of the mat available for soil filling. Once filled with soil it can be seeded and covered with erosion blanket or hydraulic mulch.

Gravel Filters

This method has several variances. Constructed with or without cinder blocks, using either silt fence fabric or chicken wire to hold loose gravel to create a gravel filter around area inlets or in curb inlets.

Geo Ridge Ditch Checks

Geo Ridge is a permeable plastic berm designed for erosion and sediment control. The berms are constructed of a UV stabilized HDPE and designed to replace traditional channel checks. Geo Ridge requires no trenching allowing for quick and easy installations.

Drill Seeding

Drill seeding is a traditional process for seeding large highway, commercial, or industrial projects. We have completed projects that range from 1 Acre to 300+ Acres.

Native Grass & Wildflowers

Native grasses and wildflowers are becoming more commonly used on Highway roadsides, Large un-irrigated areas, pastures, for erosion control, commercial construction sites, rain gardens, wetland and habitat restorations, and even on urban pathways, parks, schools etc. In many cases Native Grasses are needed in part to help achieve the LEED certification on new construction projects. Native Grassed are best planted using a specialized Drill Seeder, so the seeds can be planted at exact depths. Native Grass Seeds are generally much larger and "fluffy" so a special warm season seed box on the drill is needed to ensure that the seeds are planted at the correct rates. If done properly Native Grasses can also be planted using a Hydro Seeder.

Plugs, Trees, & Live Stakes

Native plants and trees usually planted in bio swales, ponds, or stream bank restorations.

Orange Construction Fence

Safety Fence comes in 100' rolls and is 4' tall. It is installed by attaching it to 6' steel t-posts with zip ties. Common uses are on construction sites,  excavated holes,  tree preserves, and around newly seeded areas, or any other area that needs to be protected from machinery, or pedestrian traffic. 

Concrete Washout Systems

We offer several options that can be installed to provide concrete trucks a place to washout onsite.

Gravel Construction Entrances

Gravel construction entrances are used to provide access to jobsites, and to prevent vehicles from tracking mud when leaving sites.
